Privacy Policy

Coffee Made Clear is operated by Jeremy NyQuist, a sole proprietor in San Diego, California. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit coffeemadeclear.com or email us. The short version: the site is built to collect almost nothing.

The Short Version

• The site has no accounts, forms, comments, newsletter, advertising, affiliate links, analytics, or embedded third-party content.
• Its pages set no cookies and use no browser storage of their own.
• The only personal information we handle is what you choose to email us, plus the standard request data any web host processes.
• We do not sell or share personal information.

Information We Handle

Standard web requests

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. When your browser asks for a page, Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time, to deliver the page and keep the site secure. We do not run analytics on the site. Cloudflare handles that data under its own privacy policy.

Email you send us

If you email hello@coffeemadeclear.com, your message and email address pass through Cloudflare's email routing to the site owner's mailbox, which is hosted by Google. We use what you send only to read and answer your message. We do not add you to any mailing list because you contacted us, and we do not sell your information.

We delete correspondence once it is more than 12 months old, in a manual clean-up at the start of each quarter. Each clean-up covers received and sent mail and then empties Trash, so a message can be kept for up to about 15 months before it is gone. To ask us to delete your messages sooner, email the same address. Email is not end-to-end encrypted, so please do not send sensitive information such as financial, medical, or government-ID details.

Search performance

We may use Google Search Console to see how the site appears in Google Search, for example which pages are indexed. It reports search-performance data to us and adds nothing to the pages you load.

Cookies, Storage, and Analytics

The site's pages set no cookies and use no browser storage of their own. We use no analytics tools, no advertising or tracking pixels, and no social-media widgets. Fonts and images are served from the site itself, so loading a page does not send your visit to a font, advertising, or analytics company.

If we ever add any of these, we will update this policy before we turn them on.

Links to Other Sites

Our guides link to research, manufacturers, and retailers. When you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply, and we are not responsible for them. We use no affiliate links, so following a link does not earn us anything or tell us anything about you.

Our Size and Your Requests

Coffee Made Clear is a small, pre-revenue publication. Through the site we collect no personal information from visitors beyond what is described above, we do not sell or share personal information, and we do not build profiles of readers. For that reason we have not set up the formal privacy-request procedures larger businesses need.

If you would like to know what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, email hello@coffeemadeclear.com and we will deal with it in good faith. We may need to confirm that a request really comes from you.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

The site does not track visitors across other websites, and no third-party trackers are loaded on it. It therefore treats every visitor the same way whether or not their browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal: nothing is tracked either way.

Children

Coffee Made Clear is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has emailed us, tell us and we will delete the message.

Security

We rely on the security measures of our hosting and email providers and take reasonable care of the mailbox. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure.

Where Information Is Processed

Cloudflare and Google may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy before we make a change that affects it, such as adding analytics, a newsletter, advertising, or affiliate links. The date at the top shows the latest version.
